Applications filed. Homes in preparation.
Georgia has more adults approved for the NOW and COMP waivers than it has homes willing to take them. Families wait, and the wait is often measured in years.
We are working to add to the supply. We have applications filed with the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities to operate Community Living Arrangements. Six homes are in preparation across northwest Georgia.
We are not yet approved, and we cannot accept referrals or placements. This page exists so that support coordinators, families and partners know the homes are coming and can plan accordingly.
Status as of September 2026: applications filed November 2025. DBHDD review in progress. First homes anticipated in 2027.
What we are building
- Four residents per home, in ordinary houses on ordinary streets
- Single-level living throughout, with wheelchair ramps
- Northwest Georgia — the same counties where we already run personal care homes and adult day health
- Staffed by an organisation that has operated licensed residential care in this region for nearly eight years
