Who Canton is for
Canton suits people who need a great deal of attention — including those receiving hospice support, and those whose needs have outgrown a larger community. In a building with a hundred residents, more care usually means a longer wait. Here it means someone is already in the room.
We work closely with hospice teams and welcome them into the home. If your family member is on hospice, or heading that way, that does not disqualify her here. It is much of what we do.
What we can care for at Canton
Canton is staffed for people who need a great deal of hands-on help, including:
- Transfers with two caregivers or a Hoyer lift
- Full help with bathing, dressing and toileting, including bowel and bladder incontinence
- Help at mealtimes, including residents who need to be fed
- Repositioning in bed for residents who are bed-bound or nearly so
- Overnight care: turning, changing, and someone to sit with them
- Hospice and end-of-life care, alongside your hospice team
We meet every family before move-in to agree on a care plan, and we review it every six months or whenever needs change. Call or text (470) 469-7136 for current rates.
